kindred spirits

June 23, 2016

β€œKindred spirits are not so scarce as I used to think.

It’s splendid to find out there are so many of them in the world.”

-Anne of Green Gables

I spent the day at one of my favorite places in Singapore, Gardens by the Bay, with one of my favorite families in Singapore. Suzy is definitely one of these kindred spirits. My first year in Singapore wouldn’t have been the same without her friendship, her jokes, her service. This is the part of expat life that is really awesome and really hard. I’m so happy I met the Garrett family, but lets face it, I’m pretty heartbroken to say goodbye so soon. LooksΒ like we’ll need to plan a trip to Japan ASAP πŸ™‚

How cute are these little kids.

These cute sisters were dyingggg to recreate an old picture, the classic “back-to-back” shot. I just love how it turned out!

I love the expressions and vulnerability from these next two frames. If I’m patient, usually something deeper than “CHEESE” comes out, and I just live for it.
