‘Tis the season for goodbyes, and I’m not gonna lie, this semester is rough. Goodbyes are the expat way of life, and after two years living on this little Red Dot, I have said my fair share of them. They can be messy, hurried, often unexpected and sad.
Not sure how the Taylor’s pulled it off, but they managed to have pretty perfect goodbyes. An easy-going, breezy afternoon at Singapore’s iconic Marina Barrage was the perfect sendoff to our perfectly British friends. Our session on Thursday afternoon was less than TWO DAYS before they flew to the UK, but the sun was shining, dresses twirled and it seemed like Singapore, too, wanted to say the perfect goodbye to this great family.
And like all family sessions, nothing is perfect (RIGHT!). But that isn’t what matters. What matters is running barefoot in the grass, spinning in Dad’s hands, cuddling up to the love of your life, baby giggles and bubbles dancing in the sun.
and that sounds pretty perfect to me.
this fun + sassy little lady! // Such adorable kids.
One of my favorite things about family session is photographing the mom. She’s usually not super used to being in front of the camera, but capturing her love + interaction with her kids…that’s just motherhood.
I can’t get over this little English boy! He’s the sweetest, happiest guy.
Three really is such a fun age 🙂
Those pretty Taylor girls.
Oh, just love this magic right here.
Twirls for days.
Mama + son // Everyone loves playing with Dad.
Just love these two.
Windswept // Happy boys.
I want to see this photo side-by-side in about 15 years, with this tiny little guy probably just towering over his Mom.
That view. but really, those smiles.
The views at Marina Barrage just can’t be beat.
Handsome Taylor boys!
What else are big sisters for?!
Joel’s smile is what I wait for. That happy, easy smile that almost makes you forget there is even a photographer around.
I can’t handle this look on baby James’ face. Complete + utter adoration for his mama.
Everyone needs a love like this.
Big smiles + easy-going hands.
Just the cutest family. but seriously…
We joke that Catherine Taylor is our own Princess Kate. But really, she kinda is!
